  • How long does the treatment take?
Usually Microblading is done in two sessions. The first session takes two to three hours. The brow is shaped and styled to the client’s porportions, and pigment is applied.. Four to six weeks later, the client returns for the touch up, this takes one to two hours.
  • How long does microblading take to heal?
It takes about ten days for healing. In that time any redness will fade and the initial darkness of the eyebrows will begin to lighten. The color will lighten over about thirty days as it completely sets in.
  • Why is it necessary to do a touch up?
Touch up session may be necessary because everyone heals differently and therefore the outcomes vary. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the color and brow thickness by adding more strokes. In the touch up session, the final adjustments are made to assure the client’s satisfaction. Touch up is only done after the healing reached completion after 4 weeks not before. Final adjustments are only done after the initial work has stabilized.
  • Is Microblading painful?
The level of discomfort during the treatment varies from one individual to another. Some liken it to tweezing two to three hairs at the same time. Usually a topical anesthetic is used to numb the area being worked. Topical anesthetics are safe and may contain lidocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine. Redness and slight swelling in the area is common after the procedure. Often clients liken the feeling to a slight sunburn. Frequently Tylenol is used to alleviate any discomfort.
  • How long does Microblading last?
Generally Microblading on average lasts 12 to 24 months, depending on skin type - normal, oily, or dry, also age - young or mature. Also, the pigments are not implanted as deeply into the skin as a traditional tattoo. Skincare also affects the duration of the pigments. To maintain the brows, touch up may be done every 12 to 24 months. Note that with problematic / oily skins, additional Touch ups may be required. On average, expected time until a Touch-up is needed may be between 12 and 24 months. With oily skin it may be earlier. Powder/Ombre Brows are recommended for oily skin.
  • Are there any pre care instructions?
Prior to the start of your session, we will provide you with information on what to avoid. Ex: alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and any vitamins for seventy-two hours. Sometimes these have the effect of thinning your blood. Avoid tanning to allow your natural skin tone to be assessed.
  • Are there any post-procedure instructions?
Before the end of your session we will provide you with detailed post care instructions and topical ointment. After care makes 70% of the treatment’s success! You have a huge role in how your brows heal! Please follow through with instructions given to you, if not followed you may lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Proper rinsing and applying ointment that will be provided to you is of great importance. The success of the treatment depends on the: 1. skin quality 2. post-treatment flow and care 3. exposure to different external factors All of these circumstances are out of the artist’s control, these are a few steps to care for your amazing eyebrows! You will receive a full set of instructions for after care. DO NOT apply any makeup directly on the brows for the first 2 weeks. DO NOT use any anti aging products on your eyebrows, EVER! Will result in loss of pigment. DO NOT pick, scratch, rub or remain in direct sunlight for an extensive period of time.
  • What will my eyebrows look like after?
They will look crisp and clear immediately after the treatment is done. The colour is extremely dark during the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses 40 to 50% of its intensity. If you think the colour is too dark, do not try to remove it yourself by no means. Patiently wait 7 days for the colour to fade on its own after the healing of the skin. Your epidermis may be completely healed but your dermas layer is still healing. it is all part of the healing process. Please rest a sure that the true color will be pushed back to the surface layer of your skin and you will see more of the strokes. After the complete 26 days, a touch up will, more then likely, need to be done to keep the shape and color. It is during that time you may want to adjust the color darker or warmer and can add more density to the brows.

  • What are some of the risks and complications with Microblading?
Proper procedures and precautions are used to ensure safe procedures & sanitation. Sterilized and disposable tools are used in a sanitized environment. When pre and post care instructions are followed the risk of complications are minimal. Allergic reactions to pigments are very rare, but sometimes occur. For this reason, a pigment patch test for those with sensitive skin or to topical makeup product, gold , silver, nickel, or hair dyes should be patch tested a few days in advance of the procedure.
  • What if I don’t like the result?
Carefully choose your practitioner. Compare the work of various artists before choosing.
